According to the latest data from the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association, China's annual optical lens exports reached 21.8 billion RMB in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 18.7%, surpassing the 20 billion RMB mark for the first time. Premium products including intelligent photochromic lenses and high-index lenses now account for 35% of total exports.
Industry experts note that leading manufacturers like Thinkey Optical are reshaping China's international competitiveness through dual drivers of "automation transformation + digital management." The average automation rate among industry leaders has increased from 45% five years ago to 72% currently.
"Chinese manufacturing is transitioning from 'scale advantage' to 'technological advantage'," stated the Association Secretary General. "Industry R&D investment is expected to maintain an average annual growth rate of over 20% in the next three years."
